Yaesu / Vertex HT Microphone/SP Cable Pinouts

The VX-6R/E, VX-7R/E,VX-8R/E, VX-8DR, VX-120, VX-127, VX-170, VX-177
and all models that include the CT-91 adapter in their accessory list
use a threaded, waterproof version of the same 3.5mm plug

Pin 2 is the clone RX/TX pin. Not used except in programming the Radio.

Speaker/mic cable for the Yaesu VX-170, VX-6R, VX-7R, VX-120 and
others. This cable has the unusual and hard-to-find threaded 3.5mm
4-conductor connector with o-ring.

 

You should check that the connections match your particular radio.
Connections used only for cloning or programming are usually NOT present
in these cables.

Pinouts for speaker and mic are reversed on the vx-3r
